Overview

Paul Byrne entered this video on how large volcanoes on Mars can sink into the ground into the FameLab International competition. Byrne will compete with winners from the other heats at National Geographic Headquarters in April 2014 in the U.S. FameLab final.

My research foci include volcanic and tectonic processes on planets and moons throughout the Solar System. I also have strong interests in space mission design, public outreach, and teaching.
